Additions and Corrections to original book

    1. From the book SPANGLES & SAWDUST - The Circus. By Mark St. Leon. Greenhouse Publications Pty. Ltd. 385 Bridge Street , Richmond, 3121. Victoria, Australia. 1983
Under the heading: RADFORD'S ROYAL CIRCUS it is noted that:
on Monday 27th of December 1847 at Launceston, Van Diemen's Land, (Tasmania) Billy Barlow was played by Mr. Gaskin. The other events listed are equestrian acts. It is not recorded whether Billy Barlow was on horseback. This is the earliest recorded occurrence, I have found, of Billy Barlow in an Australian circus.
