HEATHER WILLIS Whitemark Flinder's Island, Tasmania. Our "LITTLE SHIPS"ChorusHeave ho. A cheer for our ships, Salute to the Captains and crew Heave ho. Keep up with your trips Our welfare depends upon you. They sail out in daylight But mostly at night. The gales and rough weather Don't give them a fright. Their berthing at Whitemark A most welcome sight There's a greeting, each time they arrive. They carry our food And our fuel, gas and beer. Without these we'd find We had little to cheer. Our cars, trucks and tractors Are part of life here So our ships are our lifeline each week. Prime cattle from Flinders Are shipped every week And thousands of big woolly lambs At their peak. The weight of the wool bales . Make every truck creak Till they're winched off And loaded aboard. Heave ho. A cheer for our ships, Salute to the Captains and crew, Heave ho. Keep up all your trips, Our welfare depends upon you. |
