To make a tally we must shear them rough – The rate we're on is not nearly enough.” So we held a swarm on the board next day, And we asked the boss for a raise in pay; But all that he raised was his ginger eye-brows, And left us there with a frown on ours. So we walked off the board and loaded the truck, And w went into town to turn our luck. |
