Mrs Day, born 1904, sent me the words of several popular songs she had been singing for many years including a two verses for Eighteen Pence, a song I had been singing for several years, which she knew as 'The Social Hop'. Her words were different from my version.
She added "I sing these songs to make me go to sleep but I end up singing more than I sleep."
The titles sent were:
