Oh mother dear I am going to the red barn
To meet my William dear
They will not know me on the road
Nor when I do get there
Straight away she went to the old red barn
And never more was seen
When three long weary weeks pad passed
When her mother dreamt her dream
She dreamt her daughter was murdered
By the lad she loved so well
At the very far corner of the red barn
Her body there did dwell
